No, It Is Not Christmas but Just Another Post

BP recently found out that the total number of blog readers is not five but is actually six.  Yes you read what BP typed correctly.....6!!!  Now to some that seems small and insignificant but not to BP.  Finding out that six people keep up with this blog instead of 5 is like Christmas in July (and now the title makes sense).  Thanks Mrs. Owens for giving a gift that keeps on giving.  And speaking of Christmas in July, two weeks ago one of the country radio stations was playing non-stop Christmas music.  Did they forget it was August and not July?  And even so, who started the Christmas in July?  Can we have Halloween in April or 4th of July in December?  BP is the biggest advocate of celebrating holidays and especially Christmas but who or what said this was permissible.  BP now and forever more deems every 15th of each month BP's Birthday "fill in the month".  But unlike Christmas in July, BP also deems that presents must be presented to him on each of these new holidays.  And yes, BP also deems these days and the original b-day a holiday.  Man BP feels both powerful and special now.  Very random stuff but think about it.  BP bets girls everywhere will be stating "August 14, V-day in August" when they google and read this blog.  Thankfully for the two men that read this blog, August 14th has already passed so there is time to plan for this 2nd V-day now.

So onto more random details.  Rolicious is sitting up like a champ now.  He says he doesn't want to crawl but wants to go straight to walking.  Ro-dawg says if he was meant to crawl then they would make shoes for hands and knees and not your feet.  Ro-train had his six months pictures made two weekends ago by Mrs. Amber Black.  Amber does a great job on pictures and her price is the best BP/Erin have seen around.  She charges $100 for around an hour session and this price includes a CD with all the pics.  Just a little plug for her (http://www.amberblackphotography.net/).    BP bought Rolicious his first Auburn Jersie for these pics.  Erin found out upon arrival.  War Eagle!!!!

BP has also started reffing pee-wee football.  Erin has started to keep Tucker D on Tuesdays and Thursdays!!!  Ro-dawg has been riding the 4-wheeler on the farm and has got dunked under water twice in the pool.  He took it like a champ except for the time BP did.  Evidently hold the boy under 5 seconds is too long.  BP kids, Bp kids.  Other than that not much has happened in the life of the Paynes besides the beach trip in July.  Most people know how much BP loves go karts but never has anyone to ride.  So riding go karts three nights in a row was truly Christmas in July.  Also beating Betsie or is it Betsy put a smile on BP's face and tire rubber on Betsy's face (or is it Betsie).  Hopefully next year he will move up to Jr High/High School but one step at a time.  Also, it is only 11 days away from the pre-holiday season month. That is Sept for those who don't have the calendar system memorized.

Onto the pics:

Ro-dawg meeting Lindsay for the first time. He loves all cuzes.
Ro-dawg: "What, don't all babies have their own queen size bed.  Ro-dawg makes mom and dad sleep in that cage they call a crib."
Ro-dawg:  "Ok, sometimes the Ro-train does like to at least hang with Freddy inside the cage/crib."

Rolicious:  "Hollar all the pretty little girls, Ro-dawg was chilling at the beach."
Rowan:  "Yep, the shirt is off again!!"
Ro-train: "Perry-Rose and Ro-dawg showing the scary red eyes."

Ro-dawg: "Mom said Rolicious looked cute in a box."

Ro-dawg: "Really mom with this hair cut."
Rolicious:  "Yep, the Ro-train is a country boy with city boy looks."

Rowan:  "Mo-hawk city."

Rowan:  "Hollar at clean Ro-dawg Jesse James."

Rolicious: "Aunt Bridge, can I go to bed now?"

Ro-dawg Jessie James:  "TD and the Ro-dawg kicking it pool side."

Rolicious:  "TD now comes over on Tuesdays and Thursday to play all day!!"

Some Updates and Thoughts

There have been a lot of pictures taken lately but BP has had no time to upload them so therefore this post has no pics of Ro-dawg or Ro-dawg in a bathing suit (everyone knows how Kylie, Kate, Ada, and all the other little girls love to sneak on to this blog in hopes of seeing Rolicious skin).  So just some random updates and a thought that is on BP's mind this morning.  So if the 5 of you who view this blog as a picture book, jump ship now because you are about to encounter more words and no pics.  As long as the blog stat calculator shows BP 5 or so people coming to view the blog, BP will continue to get the sense of "he is wanted and clever and attractive". Ok sure, BP just threw clever and attractive on there but try tagging that onto compliments.  It makes you feel good.

So a tad bit of seriousness here and excuse BP for coming out of 3rd person.  We went to a funeral last night.  It was the funeral of Fred Gunter.  Now I knew who Fred was because we attended the same church.  I really started seeing him when I returned from Auburn in 2006.  Most of you who read this blog realize that we all know his grand daughter Lindsay as she is a cuzzette and also know his son Neil.  Just knowing them was a good enough reason for Erin and I to go to the funeral, but Fred symbolized something deeper and it was evident in the funeral/celebration last night.  I don't ever remember speaking to Fred in my life but I knew who he was not because he sat in the same place every Sunday, or because he voiced his opinion whenever the opportunity presented himself, or because he was a "flashy" man, or because I hung out with Lindsay, but simply because he was a man after God's own heart.  God speaks louder than our words can ever speak.  Fred was a man that poured out God's love to not only his precious wife but to everyone who walked by.  I always noticed how gentle and loving he was to wife, who since I moved back to G'ville has always been in need of assistance because of health issues.  There was a story told at the celebration last night on how Mrs. June had to go to therapy and Fred would sometimes have to manually push her legs on the stationary bike to keep her moving.  A man in his 80s on his knees at a therapy clinic pushing his wife's legs to help motivate her and show her his unending love - words can't fully express that type of love.  He always had her at church with a huge smile on his face.  But as I watched him over the years I not only started desiring that when I find myself sitting on the porch with Erin in our old age that my love would be equal to what he had for June, but that my love for others would also be equal.  The energy Fred had to care for Mrs. June and then to love on others is something I will not even try to describe here on this blog.  But my main point is that he was seen by me and I even "knew" him even though I never formally met him because his heart overflowed with the Lord.  I hope people can one day say that about me.  I hope they can say I knew him even though I never met him.  I hope they say they saw me not because of my own spot light but because I was chasing after God's own heart.  I have always believed our best compliments are the ones we never hear.  The ones where God's heart is seen in us so much that it overflows into others conversations when we are no where around or it overflows in their prayers with thankfulness.  So many people are thanking God for Fred even the ones like me who never formally met him.  There are not many people who I have never formally met that I can say I wish I can be like but he makes that list.

And going to a funeral in my mind is good for the soul.  I know that might seem like a morbid thought but a funeral, especially one done as a celebration like last night can feed the soul.  It is so easily for us, especially myself, to think death is far off.  We all know we are going to die but we all think it will happen when we hit 80 or 90 which for majority of us seems like an eternity away.  We can so easily get a sense of immortality in our human bodies. I know I do.  To go to a funeral to see face to face that death is coming feeds my soul.  It helps me to stay grounded and realize this is truly, as Carrie Underwood puts it, our temporary home.  And when the funeral is a celebration, it really bring to life Phillipians 1:21 that states "...to die is gain."  That is not a human thought but a God thought.  To die is gain is a life changing thought.  To know that, as the the Chris Tomlin song stated last night as it played at the celebration, "I will rise when God calls my name" is something that can bring tears to my eyes because my life so often doesn't show Phil 1:21.

Back to 3rd person.  Tired of blogging so no random updates. Maybe in a little while.

Ro-Dawg's First 4th of July

BP knows what most of you are thinking, "Is it Christmas already" because BP posted new blog on consecutive weeks.  BP is here to tell you that no it is not Christmas but only the 4th of July.  The 4th of July ranks in BP's top 4 favorite holidays which includes Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween, and 4th of July.  If you were wondering what BP's 5th favorite holiday was it is his Birthday!!!  To some, Halloween is not considered a holiday and that debate will more than likely rise again come September but to most like The Paynes and the Owens (Bowenowens posted a blog on it a while back), a holiday like Halloween doesn't have to involved a day off of work.  Anyway, back on point.  Ro-Train celebrated his first 4th of July and BP took off 4 days.  The Paynes did a lot of things that revolved around the number 4.
The Paynes cooked out 3 times which is 1 minus 4.
BP worked on the farm 3 different times which is again 1 minus 4.
The Paynes went to the "G'ville All American Celebration" on Sunday afternoon which contained 4 words in the title.
The Paynes watched Mocking Bird Lane on Sunday which had 5 band members which is 1 plus 4.
The Paynes saw Sheffer and Mel on Saturday which made 5 people (1 plus 4 again) be in the same house at the same time.
BP bought $12 worth of fireworks which is 3 times 4.
BP shot 4 roman candles.
The Paynes rode in a car with 4 tires all weekend.

Scary right.  BP thought about changing his lucky number from 7 to 4 but then realized that 7 is 3 plus 4 and thus was ok.  Hopefully some one of the handful of people that read this blog with have a cousin who knows a friend, who dog sits for someone who lives besides a person who knows the mom of a famous movie director and the Payne events that revolved around the number 4 will become a movie like the movie "23".

So basically this was one of the best 4ths.  Nothing better than hanging with the family, cooking out, eating homemade ice cream (which BP's total for making it is up to 10 times this summer), working on the farm, celebrating in G'ville, swimming, and shooting fireworks and the Paynes covered all of that.

But two other highlights that happened this weekend that everyone needs to know:
1) Erin dressed Rolicious in some blue jean shorts that were huge and dropped below his knees along with a fairly big shirt.  Ro-Dawg looked like a big cheeked, brain hair, little Eminem.  So Ro-Train and BP started rapping and BP continued to see how long he could conversate in a rap dialogue.  Needless to say Erin became annoyed even though she kept cracking a smile.
2) Rolicious rolled off the bed under BP's watch.  Nothing worse than hearing a BIG THUMP and then looking on the bed and not seeing your son.  Rowan is ok and Erin handled it like the SUPER MOM that she is.
So here are some pics with rap dialogue captions.  Yo Yo Yo, lets kick it:

Ro-Train and Papa Pun, but no that is not his son.

The Nasty Cousin and the Great.  No girls, Ro-Dawg isn't old enough to date.

In front of a dream home stand Erin and BP. But because of the dark, the dream you can't see.

Rowan and his firework.  He went crazy berzerk.

BP putting on a show, everyone show him how you can flow.

Ro-Train relaxing on the porch.  One day he will carry the torch.

The 4th of July with a Side of Updates

So it has been awhile since BP posted anything.  For 99% of the 5 people who read this blog, life continued as normal.  More than likely without the help of Google Reader you wouldn't even remember this blog address.  So why does BP continue to do this blog.  Well I know down deep inside everyone gets curious of what happens in the life of a Payne even though it may take awhile for this curiosity to arise.  So here we go, try and keep up.
1) BP loves 4th of July week.  It ranks in the top 5 of favorite holidays along with Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Halloween.  Nothing better than having a long weekend filled with working on the farm, swimming, grilling out, homemade ice cream, and FIREWORKS!!!!!!!  It is amazing how long BP can stay entertained by bottle rockets.
2) Setting a record on making homemade ice cream this year!!!! LOVE IT!
3) Rolicious is growing like crazy.  He is rolling all over the place and talking so much.
4)  Had the first Annual Payne Summer Cookout Blast.  The Paynes at least had a great time.  They hope everyone else did.
5) Cooper went to the vet for annual shots.
6) The Paynes bought a new truck and boat!!!!
7)  BP installed new light fixtures that have been sitting in the dining room since November!
8)  #6 is a joke.

Enough of the boring stuff.  Pictures always speak a thousand words.

Ro-Train attended his first pool part.  This is him entering the water.  Notice how the girls and guys are equally dispersed in the pool.
This picture is 5 seconds later.  Enough said!!

Ro-Train borrowing Cousin Tucker's float for a second.
Rolicious saying "I need some time alone girls".
Ro-Dawg and Aunt Brigett at Natalie's Weddding.

Rolicious dressed in his Sunday's best before heading off to church!
Erin and Rowan swimming.  This has been a norm this summer.

Beautiful, lovely Erin with the Sunset.  BP loves trying to be a photographer.
