Can you believe Thanksgiving is here. What a great week. The Payne's love the holidays!!. This week especially: 1) short work week, 2) Thanksgiving Day, 3) BLACK FRIDAY, 4) Weekend of putting up Christmas decorations.
Brandon loves this time of year and this is the opening week of the MAIN stretch of the holiday season. There is nothing better than staying up late on Wednesday night because of no work and then getting up and watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade with your wife. Brandon loves that parade. Thanksgiving is not Thanksgiving without it. It is pretty much like Christmas and the 24 hour marathon of The Christmas Story (what a great idea that was!!!).
So The Paynes we rise and turn the TV on before heading to his parents to eat turkey with the grandparents. Then they are off (1:30ish) to eat with Erin's grandparents. Granted BP won't eat since he just got done eating. Then the rest of the day is free to relax. Thursday night will involve going to the movies with Chad and Kayla and getting the Christmas decorations down (not putting out) to just see what decorations they have. The Payne's forget what they buy on the day after Christmas so before heading out Friday they need to see what decorations they already have.
YES THAT IS RIGHT. The paynes will be out Friday. Heck, BP is planning on going to Wal Mart at 3:00ish if for nothing esle to get in the Black Friday spirit. He can't wait. Sat will be a put Christmas Decorations out and also possibly a Farm/Cattle day. Could you ask for anything else. Farming and Christmas, 2 of BP's favorite things. Sunday is possible Christmas Tree day and that day is in BP's top 15 list of favorite days. Nothing better than smelling the newly cut tree and loading it up.
Man, BP loves so Christmas. Happy Early Birthday Jesus.
Cuzz Christmas is tentative for Dec 19 so stay tuned on that
The Paynes are also wanting to go to Rock City to see the lights if anyone is up for a day trip!!!

The Paynes at Mid-Week
Brandon and Erin both wish they were off this today like the other Gov people.
Anyway, what has happened in the past week with the Paynes? Not much. Friday they watched Guntersville beat Rogers in the 1st round of the playoffs. This week it is North Jackson. Probably will be the 2nd biggest game ever at Chorba Lee Stadium next to the 2006 Alexandria vs Gville Homecoming game. Brandon has never seen the Gville stadium SOLD OUT besides for that game. Alexandria won in double overtime but Gville met them again in the semi-finals..and well we all know what happened then.
Saturday, they woke up and headed to Auburn with Erin's mom. Kathy (Erin's mom) is the lone Auburn fan in her family and hadn't been to Auburn in 20 years so they loaded up and headed out. No tickets in hand no problem right. Wrong, no scalpers were to be found (another first) but luckily the box office still had tickets left so they set beside the Alumni band and rocked out.
Sunday after church Brandon and C-Dawg (Chad Bates) went to a Refereeing meeting for Arab Rec ball. Yes, that is right, BP is bout to be a ref. He loves kids and the extra cash is a plus also. One thing BP and C-dawg did find out though, this is not the old school rec ball where teenagers refs as they thought it would be. Arab rec uses Alabama High School refs so BP is going to be decked out in the zebra costume. BP was worried he was going to be too old but he and C-Dawg were in the minority on age.
After the meeting, Erin and Brandon jetted to Fyffe, AL to see Momma (spelled right, who knows) and Papa. Erin became sick Sunday night and layed out of work Monday.
They also got Rowan's dresser ordered.
Tuesday was their doc visit. Rowan measures 30 weeks but Erin is only 28 (work that math). After the doc visit they headed to Dr. Fields and signed him up to be Rowan's doctor. After that is was off to look for a recliner for BP and a glider for Erin.
Now BP is getting into the Christmas spirit and is searching Amazon to buy up several Christmas movies that he desires on this slow day
BP's Recommended Christmas Movies
1) The Santa Clause 1-3...his favorite Christmas movie series
2) Home Alone 1-2 (3 sucks)
3) Fred Clause - BP was delightfully entertained by this one
4) Prancer - OLD BUT GOODY
5) The Christmas Story
6) Family Vacation Christmas
7) Polor Express
8) Jim Cary's The Grinch Who Stole Christmas
Almost time to start SHOPPING!!!!!
And has BP mentioned how ABC Family ROCKS

Oh yeah, ABC FAMILY ROCKS
Brandon wanted to share this also. This weekend ABC Family advertised its countdown to the 25 Days of Christmas. So basically ABC Family is have a 30 day November countdown to the 25 day December countdown. A countdown to another countdown. BRANDON LOVED THIS. What Christmas Spirit ABC Family is displaying. GO ABC FAMILY!!
The Halloween Payne Weekend
So Halloween Weekend has come and gone for The Paynes. Brandon was a little sad as he put up the Halloween decorations last night but this morning he realized that Christmas is even closer now.
The Paynes went and ate with Kyle and Celeste Stapler Friday night before the Guntersville/Albertville football game. They then headed to the game and around halftime the heavens opened up and rain poured onto the field and fans. Guntersville dominated the game. Erin and Brandon got a little wet but we all must admit, there is a little fun/excitment watching a football game while trying not to get wet. Good times.
Saturday came and after Auburn regained their dominating offense and won, Brandon started preparing for the Trick or Treaters. This meant running to Wal Mart to get more candy because he saw a neighbor who had a trailer with hay installed ready for kids. Brandon knew this was a clear sign of the number of kids to come (and he was right). So on the way home from Wal Mart a VERY WIERD thing happened to Brandon and Erin. They got hit by a DRUNK DRIVER. Not much damage to the car but the woman got handcuffed and carried off. Brandon knew something was up when as he was about to get out of the car to assess the damage the woman continued to hit them in the rear end. He got out to hear the woman say "I am hung on your car". Brandon quickly realized she wasn't but that she still had the car in drive. The woman thought she had the car in reverse. It was then that he smelled the alcohol on here. If you want more details on that situation email him at brandonpayne77@gmail.com. But Brandon and Erin are ok but the Honda does have a little bumper/paint damage.
So the kids started coming at 5:30 and boy did they come. Brandon was pumped. He estimates around 50 kids showed up. Next year he is thinking of making the woods behind his house a haunted forest that kids must walk through to get candy. HE CAN'T WAIT.
Sunday came and after Church, The Paynes ate with Erin's family and then Brandon headed off to the farm to round up cows. After 3 hours of cows, they sold 50 cows and Brandon was beat. He headed home.
Great weekend but now on to Thanksgiving. (and BP's birthday which he considers another HOLIDAY).
