So Halloween Weekend has come and gone for The Paynes. Brandon was a little sad as he put up the Halloween decorations last night but this morning he realized that Christmas is even closer now.
The Paynes went and ate with Kyle and Celeste Stapler Friday night before the Guntersville/Albertville football game. They then headed to the game and around halftime the heavens opened up and rain poured onto the field and fans. Guntersville dominated the game. Erin and Brandon got a little wet but we all must admit, there is a little fun/excitment watching a football game while trying not to get wet. Good times.
Saturday came and after Auburn regained their dominating offense and won, Brandon started preparing for the Trick or Treaters. This meant running to Wal Mart to get more candy because he saw a neighbor who had a trailer with hay installed ready for kids. Brandon knew this was a clear sign of the number of kids to come (and he was right). So on the way home from Wal Mart a VERY WIERD thing happened to Brandon and Erin. They got hit by a DRUNK DRIVER. Not much damage to the car but the woman got handcuffed and carried off. Brandon knew something was up when as he was about to get out of the car to assess the damage the woman continued to hit them in the rear end. He got out to hear the woman say "I am hung on your car". Brandon quickly realized she wasn't but that she still had the car in drive. The woman thought she had the car in reverse. It was then that he smelled the alcohol on here. If you want more details on that situation email him at brandonpayne77@gmail.com. But Brandon and Erin are ok but the Honda does have a little bumper/paint damage.
So the kids started coming at 5:30 and boy did they come. Brandon was pumped. He estimates around 50 kids showed up. Next year he is thinking of making the woods behind his house a haunted forest that kids must walk through to get candy. HE CAN'T WAIT.
Sunday came and after Church, The Paynes ate with Erin's family and then Brandon headed off to the farm to round up cows. After 3 hours of cows, they sold 50 cows and Brandon was beat. He headed home.
Great weekend but now on to Thanksgiving. (and BP's birthday which he considers another HOLIDAY).
