Erin Update and A Little Ro-Dawg

So Erin had her weekly Doc's visit this morning and BP and Erin got a good report.  Dr. A taped Erin up with that "butterfly" tape that was used after Erin's surgery.  The Doc said no more guazes; however, if in next week's appointment the Doc thinks Erin's wound looks worse then BP/Erin go back to packing gauzes twice a day. Well really, Aunt Brigett (BP's nickname for her is Bridge but can he spell it like Brigg? cause he doesn't like the Bridge spelling) and Mrs. Michelle (aka Lovely M).  BP and Erin want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to Aunt Bridge and Lovely M because for over a month now they have taken time out of their days to truck over the Payne Fort to take care of Erin without asking for anything in return.  Both have truly shown the heart of Christ!  BP and Erin will always be grateful.

So in hopes that Erin's wound will stay together and no more packing gauze days, keep the prayers going cause BP's wife is starting to get to her whits end on the whole open wound thing.  But she has been great.  BP has fallen in love with her all over again!!

Dr. A even said Erin could start using the treadmill if she wanted and even start picking up heavier things.  So things are slowly but surely going back to what should be normal baby days!!

Lastly, here are some pics of Ro-Dawg from his 1 hour photo shoot with Mrs. Amber (who did a wonderful job and is CHEAP)!  Also, with Rowan's nickname of Ro-Dawg Jesse James, some may not know who Jesse James is.  For those of you with this incredible lack of WWE history knowledge, please search You Tube for Road Dogg Jesse James and watch his entrance to the wrestling ring.  It is crazy funny and BP and Rowan have already been working on Rowan's similar wrestling entrance.  BP has also provided a pic of Road Dogg.  Do you see any resemblance between Rowan and R. Dogg yet.  Hopefuly we can braid Ro-Train's hair this weekend.

Ro-Train Pics

BP is sure many of you are wondering, WHERE ARE THE PICS of Rowan (aka Ro-Dawg Jessie James, Ro-Train, Fart-Knocker, etc).  Well BP is here to serve and you may not like what you are about to be served but served you will.  There are a lot more pics ready to be developed and even better pics on the computer at home, but BP's tiredness causes him not to have a desired to transfer pictures to a jump drive and bring them to work.  He apologizes about that.  There are hundreds of pics developed from Rowan's birth to day #2 of being home.  Do any of you know how much it cost to develop HUNDREDS of pics...a lot.  It was going to be over hundred dollars to get them all developed.  So BP and his clever and slick minded self started googling online pics and registed with rough 5 different places (seehere.com, clarkphotos.com, photoworks.com..etc) to get those precious 50 free prints.  He had already used shutterfly's freebies up before Christmas.  So the bill drastically got reduced to around $25 after it was all said on done.  So you say, just pull those pics from the websites and display.  Oh BP tried but most of those sites are blocked at work and some of the others want let you right click and save.  So he reverted to copying the screen and cropping the pics out.  Oh the computer brains that BP has.

So how is life with Ro-Train...SPLENDID.  BP and Erin love him so much but the little Fart Knocker has got his days and nights confused so to say the love birds are tired is sometimes an understatment.  Right now Ro-Train can't keep his food down (spits up on command) and is congested.  The congestion is probably thanks to daddy BP because BP was under the weather a little last week.  So Rowan is going to the doctor today.

Rowan loves bath time.  He loves going to the deep end of his whale pool.  Here are some tid bits on Rowan followd by some pics.
1) Wore a Mo-Hawk to his first church service.  You are right, compliments of BP.
2) Loves bath time.
3) Can stay up the entire night
4) Can make a cool Indian sound when he is crying and daddy BP repeatedly puts his hand of Rowan's mouth.
5) Has had 2 date offers so far, one younger and one older.  He said no both times
6) Has stood up on daddy's legs twice so far.
7) Has allowed Erin to finally learn her dream skill of cooking with one hand.
8) Met Cooper for the first time this past Saturday.  Ro-Train's comment was "I will be riding you soon Coop."
9) Loves the farm life already.
10) Favorite game is called "Let mom and dad sleep for 5 minutes and the cry".  He is also always the winner of that game.
11)  Already has a song wrote for him... "Rowan is a fartknocker, fart knocker.  Rowan is a fartknocker, fartknocker."  It was writter by daddy BP late at night.
12) Doesn't like Huggie diapers.  Told daddy to call Huggies and asked them if they tested their newborn diapers with a dip for the belly button cord.  Rowan is not pleased with them cause he pees right threw the dip.
13) Can spit up threw his nose.
14) First movie watched with daddy...Bangkok Dangerous.  Watched this past Friday night.  Like BP, Rowan thought it was a worthless plott and horrible movie.
15) Paisley and Rowan - they are tight.  They play very well together.  Paisley even jumps into the crib and naps with Ro-Train...BP kids, BP kids.

now for pics...

BP and Erin wondered how Paisley would do. This is 1 hour after after arriving home from hospital.  Erin may get mad at BP for this pic but BP thinks Erin is BEAUTIFUL here!!

Rowan Update Coming but First...Lets Talk Taylor

So BP has been very busy with his new son Rowan (aka Row-Train), work, having a larger reffing schedule for the past 2 weeks, taking care of Erin, and pretty much just being the awesome husband that makes Erin smile.  He has been doing all this while enduring a major lack of sleep because of the Row-Train.  So pictures have finally been developed (and yes there are some on his desk) but just hasn't had time to post them to a blog.

However, BP has had the itch to blog on a topic that needs to be addressed.  It was addressed by Mr. Adam "da bull" Turnbull in one of his blogs and also has been debated in email exchanges between the two of them (and Scott Moore - daddy of Johnny Rocket).  So BP wants to bring this to light and see where the world thinkgs.  The topic TAYLOR SWIFT.

BP is a Taylor Swift fan.  He doesn't wear Taylor shirts or watch CMT frantically for her videos to come on but he owns her CDs and would even be up for seeing her in concert.  Now others have a strong dislike for her like Bull since Bull takes the time to blog against her.  Scott is more of simply "I don't like her" if he is asked but Bull will lash out about her if you even mention a name that starts with 'T'  But this blog is not against them but against all who dislike Taylor to the point you wish she would go away.

So here is BP's argument:  BP agrees that Taylor is not the best singer.  She sounds great on CD but live she is lowered to a good level when seen live.  So that point BP is agrees on.  However, her lyrics are solid.  Immature are not the right word for her lyrics.  Sure they may not speak to an aging 30 year old but to young girls and to BP who loves to reminence (spelling?), her lyrics are very cleverly put together to tell about high school love.  Immature could be said about Jonas Brothers songs such as "Burnin' Up" that reads - I'm slippin into the lava.......cause I'm burnin up, burnin up for you baby.  So Taylor sings about a love interest she had in terms of Romeo and Juliet is brilliant when compared to burning your foot in lava for a girl.  And Taylor Authors/Co-Authors 75% of her songs but do you think Jonas Brothers even could come up with Lava on their own. BP doubts it but not dissing on Jonas Brothers...to each his own.

Nor is Taylor writing songs about sex or what sexual things she wants boys to do to her.  Boys II Men is one of BP's all time favorite groups but even they wanted girls to know that "I'll Make Love To You".  And compared to what is out there now, BP would let Rowan listen to that Boys II Men song 99 times before listening to some of this other trash.  Her songs are clean and don't even cross over to the sexual inuendos category.

Another point, Taylor Swift is a true role model.  She doesn't cuss (besides the one time in Tear Drops on My Guitar song), dresses appropriately, doesn't talk like she is a teeny bopper, and is always grateful for her rewards.  Most girls (aka Brittney, Christna, Jessica, etc), with exception of Mandy Moore, who are in the main stream start crossing the line of "trashy" at Taylor's age.  Even one of my all time favorites Carrier Underwood has got me a little worried on a couple occasions, but Taylor is holding strong.  Taylor hasn't even came close to the trashy line.

Another argument is that she calls herself country but some don't consider her country.  Who cares.  To be honest there needs to be a new category of music call cross over for those who can swing the country and pop banners such as Taylor.  Don't hate on her but hate on her manager and country music for allowing her to do it.  But country music is changing.  That doesn't mean old country is less important.  It probaby makes Charlie Daniels, George, Alabama, etc even more valuable but change isn't bad.  There are still the pure country artist out there.  It is not like Taylor is beating up George and threatening to take his manhood from him.  The old country guys I know are not afraid of the new country and especially of a 19 year old girl.  So not a legit argument.

So girls now have a legit role model to look up to in a world where majority of secular music is becoming R-rated and some people are bashing the lone light that is walking straight.  It is ok not to like her but why bash on a girl who is doing everything right just because she may not be the best singer.  Can you blame her that she has a decent voice with an A+ stage precense.  So don't bash Taylor but lets hope she maintains this role model life style for future singers that our young babies may listen too in the near future.

BP IS OUT and ROCK ON TAYLOR
